Hybrid – Break My Soul 0

Epic Breaks Soundtrack – Hybrid produce just about the biggest, most theatrical dance music known to man. Listening to a Hybrid track at a party you half expect the crowd to stop what they’re doing and applaud the music like an enormous, cinematic opus has spectacularly been performed in front of their gurning chops.
And in many ways it has ( fwa fwa dontchewknow). The scale of Mike Truman and Chris Healings’ production is vast and their use of orchestral strings over glossy breakbeats is a perfect example of typical Hybrid ostentation.

Their 4th album “Disappear Here” is forthcoming on Distinctive and they’re giving away the title track off the album over at the album blog http://disappearhere.info/ where you’ll find a hi res version of  Break My Soul and also a instrumental version of the track. Meat Katie – Lucia (Jade Remix) 2

This is the last recorded image of Meat Katie before he escaped from a maximum security school canteen.

Shortly after this press photograph was taken Mr Katie staged a daring escape that left 3 dinner ladies dead and a head teacher with a spork wedged in his eye.

He was last seen making good his escape across the school carpark but not before kicking the wing mirrors from the head of year’s Volvo estate.

Genotype – Distorted Dreams feat. Meleka 0

Stunning dubstep vocal – A refreshing departure from the usual Fabric CD’s the Dbridge and Instra:mental mix on Fabriclive 50 plumbs the depths of downtempo DnB and dubstep to tremendous, atmospheric effect.  This reworking of the Meleka “Go” accapella equisitely layers the close vocal with double-tracking and frugal use of autotune to create a dense, flowing, harmony.

Less of the gushing – where in blazing fuck  did the name “Meleka” come from? Did someone sneesze at the christening?

Black Van – Yearning 0

Stripped-back,soulful disco
Disco tracks go on FOREVER : Building and breaking. Breaking then building. Occaisionally smacking your arse . DJ’s end up playing the entire length of a disco tune allegedly to lock you into the groove , but it’s more likely that they’re just shit at beatmatching.
Black Van are Kris Menace and KoweSix and have a new album pending on DFA so keep your ears peeled. But you got to love the ridiculous campness of it all. Everyone is a little bit gay so LET GO. Weeeeee!

Beyonce – Single Ladies – DJ Rokk Remix 1

Diva Glitch-Hop - It was one of THOSE weekends. By sunday evening our clothes didn’t fit any more, waistlines had reduced somewhat -The disco diet in full effect.  At some point on Saturday i managed to pick up a can of what I though was deoderant and spray it on my filthy pits, only to discover it was in fact Veet hair removal cream.

Ended up on Saturday night in deepest, darkest East London at The Dalston Superstore, a very friendly, narrow gay club full of tweakers who took a shine to my backside. Flattery gets you everywhere. We had the most fun ever twrling and wooping around with freaks on the dancefloor, sweating to mid nineties euro house and acid.

The DJ dropped a few off the wall remixes , one of which compelled me to mince over to the DJ booth and trainspot. It was his own handywork and he gave me a copy. Nice one DJ Rokkk - you is the bestest!

Soundprank – Detachment 0

Lush Downtempo Breaks: When not murdering Eastern European bob sleigh enthusiasts, Canada seems to be crunking out a steady run of  talented new producers. The debut album from Soundprank is a strong release that competently traverses ambient, downtempo and proggy house without spreading itself too thin.

Now,the attention span of the typical blog browser is about half a second so there are 2 clips here. One that jumps straight to the breakbeat which may just pique the attention of a web monkey between footage of beheadings and anal fisting. And also included is the soundcloud player with the full track should you be able to focus for more than 30 seconds.

Sean Roman – Phone Call 1

Tidy Disco Bumper:

Props go to Disco Dust for bringing this squeaker to a wider audience. Sean Roman is certainly the darling of  blog-o-planet this morning and you’re more than capable of reading proper editorial about this artist on the big sites, so go there and do that.

On a normal day at Loudat you would be furnished with scurrilous rumours, vicious lies and excessive swearing to gloss over the fact we know fuck all about music. But due to the catastrophic failure of the database back up (read- total incompetence) earlier this week there is a lot of cleaning up to be doing.  So get a wiggle on to this cute little houser;.

The Streets vs DJ Zinc – Has It Come To This (Stanton Warriors Remix) 0

Amazing Breaks Collaboration:
If you’re not excited at the thought of a Streets, DJ Zinc AND Stanton Warriors cluster fuck then you could well be clinically dead. Gentlemen you should be thickening up in anticipation of such a collaboration. Ladies you should be foaming at the gusset and emailing naked photos of yourself directly to this website as a display of gratitude that this splendid track has once again seen the light of day.

Not entirely sure if this ever got an official release as such, highly unlikely. But here it is for you froth over.

Le Principle – The Music 1

Thumping disco mince – It even sounds French.

A gaggle of honking 4×4 driving mums gathered near by to verbally  joust about how each of their little screaming meatbags was better than the others at swimming.
Awful New Mum 1 “oh, well you should have SEEN Joshua – he swam the whole width of the pool..it was so sweeeeet”
Awful New Mum 2 “of course Oliver has been moved up to the Sharks group”
Awful New Mum 3 “Harry is learning to swim with out armbands now, he’s a natural”
No shit, ladies  Once ripped via C-Section from you polluted womb and thrust into a life of Gap Clothing, Macro Biotic Diets and cut throat vicarious competition your kids are going to try and swim as far as way from you horrendous females as humanly fucking possible.
Awful New Mum 3 “Harry, darling – don’t put that in your mouth”
Awful New Mum 1 “Joshua doesn’t do that anymore”
Awful New Mum 2 “Oliver can feed himself now- he’s so independent”
