Bad Autopsy – Ginmixer 2

MOTHERS RUIN RHYTHMS- Somewhere in between furiously stabbing bingo cards with oversized marker pens and leaking into adult nappies the near dead have got to have something to kill time with. Hell, why not corner the geriatric alcoholic market ? Supermarket value brand beer is travesty enough – you get more ABV in a slightly over ripe orange. But Value Gin ? Surely a plot to coax the blue rinses over the edge of mortality.

Bad Autopsy clock a hat trick with an awesome name, excellent track title and most importantly a killer sound. Ginmixer treads into a bashy groove and works it uptempo with a 16ths hihat that blurs the genre rolls it into sozzled hypnotic tech-territory. Have a good sniff around their Soundcloud for some interesting collaborations and a wide range of solid productions.
Keep your ears on Bad Autopsy and don’t worry about the smell, that’s just my Gran decomposing.

HeavyFeet ft. Serocee – Parking Meter 0

BASHY BREAKS BIZZNIZZ – Manchester duo Heavyfeet drop the latest offering of their relentless release schedule on Stamp! Beats. Teaming up with the worlds busiest man “Serocee” of South Rakkas Crew fame, Heavyfeet are really showing their mettle having just last month cracked out a tearing release with the Sawdust and Sultanas EP. If this was the real world “Parking Meter” would go straight on the “Definitely” vinyl stack.
Robust and accomplished dancefloor productions with no sign of slowing up.

Bassbin Twins – 001 0

SCHIZOID SPAZ TRACK – The ever reliable Basssbin Twins releases a drooling spastic of a track into the wild to confuse the shit out of the average dancefloor. First it’s shouting at breakbeat  traffic, then it’s cramming its pockets full of tech-house newspapers shortly after which it’s shop lifting from a bashment Asda.  Eventually its cornered and shot in the face by the dubstep police. Download via the Soundcloud link while you can.

Hissy Fit – Cross Trainers 0

SQUEAKY CLEAN GARAGE – A cracking little EP released this week on PhutureLabs. Hailing from Montreal producer Hissy Fit probably has a beard on his chin and a sturdy axe in his garage as well as a studio in bedroom. First I’ve heard of the chap, doubt it will be the last. Have a snoop through his stuff, the strongest cut for me is the garage fix of Cross Trainers, a highly polished late night 2 step number that trips on and on. Smart artwork as well.

Ruby Goe – Beat Breaking Boy (Ft DJ Poet) 0

Thought you might want to get your shell likes around this. Pop with BALLS. Ruby Goes is touring with the Stantons at the moment and pops up on a number of tracks on their forthcoming album. If the Stantons say yes, so do I.

Nas & Damian Marley – As We Enter (Foamo Remix Instrumental) 0

SCUZZ GONG ELECTRO I’m late to the party, but I’ve got a sack full beans and a copy As We Enter? I promise to set off all the fire extinguishers, bark into your oven and overstay my welcome. When you’re not looking I’m going to methodically toast your entire CD collection and soil your bedsheets. Welcome,New Students! I look forward to cocking up your house. Again.

Redlight ft. Ms Dynamite “What you talking about!?” 1

Ms Dynamite has been responsible for propping all sorts of tracks of late. She carried Zincs “Wile Out” for the whole tune. Sure everybody likes a bit of crack house thankyou mister Zinc, but that bit is only about 16 bars long. Dynamite also deflty forged the rugged edge onto “Lions Den” for The Nextmen.
Perhaps not quite as strong as other recent collaborations Dynamite once again scrubs this track up quite nicely. However , the video looks like something a fame hungry housewife might commission on her quest for global recognition and personal approval.  rrrrralph.

PURPL PoP – The Way (Shooting Horses Remix) 0

Winner of the PURPL Pop remix competition , Shooting Horses comes through with this rather accomplished chunk of bashy house music. The original was one of those tracks that’s quoted as a “summer anthem” which is fucking ridiculous in the UK. Who would want their tune to be associated with driving rain, massive traffic jams and a huge spike in teenage crime?
At best you could aim for a “2 weeks just before Easter when it gets unseasonably toasty anthem”.

Shooting Horses hails from Sarf Laandan and is so called because he has an irrational hatred of all things equestrian and in his spare time  runs a glue factory.

Corneille “Liberation”- MJ Cole dubb Remix 0

GARAGE DON DUBS UP - It was once the case that whenever there was a gurridge night you could GUARANTEE that broke kids in expensive clothes would appear and fuck the evening up for everyone. You’d only need utter the name “MJ Cole” and someone would get shot.  Fortunately a lot of the aggro that was once the preserve of the gurridge night has been absorbed by the grime scene and you can now get away with dropping a 2-step garage anthem,  the white kids love it and no-one gets bokkled.

No longer a guilty pleasure – MJ Cole still kills it.

Brought to my attention by those upstanding  gents over at the Bass Music Blog .

Just Be Good To Green (Greenmoney’s Colour Blind remix) 1

Beats International Refix – The “Dub Be Good To Me” vocal gets a bashy reworking from Greenmoney. Lindy Layton who sang the original vocal on Dub Be Good To Me spiralled into obscurity after her smash with Beats International. Attempts to resuscitate her floundering career failed miserably but there was one rather curious upshot . She ended up releasing a couple of gnarly big-beat tracks on Norman Cook’s Skint label under the name of Hardknox.

Completely missed the point haven’t I? I know fuck all about Greenmoney, but probably not as pretty as Lindy Layton

Or as minted.
