GLITCH-HOP SQUELCH-OFF Just how anally retentive you have to be to produce music this detailed is anybody’s guess. Tipper probably has everything in his fridge neatly labelled and all the coasters on his coffee table aligned with a set square. That and a hearing response that plummets to 4hz.
A couple of months back I got my paws on a Vestax VCI-300 MkII DJ Controller.
Having used Serato Scratch Live for several years I was getting tired of rewiring DJ booths in the dark to plug up the hardware box. A massive pain in the arse at 2am with a packed dancefloor and a skinfull of a booze
Vestax and Serato had been working on a DJ controller and I was interested in having something that was a simple line-in to the mixer that I could effectively plug and play with really easily. If you could could scratch with it that would be a bonue. The VCI seemed to be the solution.
This train wreck is recorded and scratched using the aforementioned digtal contraption.
You have been warned.
This mix features a whole bunch of incredible glitch tracks and a couple of Skint Records classics. The production on some of these tracks is phenomenal. Dave Tipper could very well be in league with Satan.

NEXT LEVEL GLITCH – HOP – a stunning chunk of breakbeat from the Addictech stable. Luke Mandala deftly blends deep bass design and screw-faced funk into a blazing hot production the likes of which deserves to be dropped EVERY FUCKING WHERE. Holy Shit, just stop what your doing and Get.Into.This.Sound.
The Addictech boys have got something special here. Give that Luke a cookie.

GLITCH HOP DROP – Dave Tipper is a professor of Low frequency sound design. There’s so much going on below 50hz in his productions that you need a sub-driver the size of France to really appreciate the precision of his sonic sculptures. New EP out this week via Addictech.

WONK HOP – Purveyor of Parisian wonkiness, Onra drops a little taster of his forthcoming album Chinoiseries Pt 2. It is a little known fact that Onra has one ear canal 4 ft longer than the other. He exists in a world where he’s constantly having to recorrect acoustic delays in his head hence the lopsided meter -it must be like living inside King Tubby’s monitor cabs.

STONES THROW GETS WONKY – Only twice have I heard the name “Jonty” used in public.
The first time was at the foot of a steep hill in Wiltshire. A paraglider had made a particularly ungraceful decent from the hilltop and landed right in front of where I was enjoying an egg sandwich.
She gathered her chute and then shouted into her CB radio:
“Yah…I think Jonty had an epic, he’s on the other side of the bluff”
The second time was whilst running through Holland Park. As I cantered past the kids adventure playground I heard a West London Yummie declare these very words:
“Jeremy! Oh Jeremy! Jonty wants his bum wiped”
This of course has no bearing on the high quality of this wonky Stones Throw release.

RAVE HOP – it’s worth looking again at the title of this post “Wagon Christ Laser Dick”. It’s some kind of stream-of-conciousness bollocks that might fall out of your mouth having been up for three days.
Typically while at the bar trying to look as sober possible.
