FUCK DANCING ALL NIGHT – but then that’s just what we did.
Digging through a cherished stack of breaks records and rediscovered this absolute gem from Jape. This was a bit of a curveball release on Adam Freelands’ then breaks/electro oriented Marine Parade which left a few of the “blokebeat” DJ’s scratching their balding heads and stroking their bearded chins.

Rumour has it Freeland heard Jape playing Floating in Ireland and pretty much just offered to release it there and then. A good call if ever there was one.

Marine Parade has , rather sadly, gone a bit quiet of late….

BASSLINE DISCO CLASSIC Had the good fortune of catching Bill Brewster’s Fat Camp playing with the Disco Shed crew this weekend.  Mr Brewster is a terribly nice chap and also the author of How To DJ Properly. Is perfomed by Aaliyah – destroyed by the fat arses of her entourage.

If Aaliyah had chosen to hang around with skinnier people then her Cessna light aircraft might have made it off the ground and into the skies. As it turned out her plane was overladen and she died painfully and horribly in a spectacular, flaming ball of aviation fuel.

Only Slick Rick survives this track (and he was born in Tooting – who knew?)
