KnightForce recordings were pretty much my staple musical diet for a good 4 years of under age raving and drug abuse. And there was no getting around the fact the music was crass, the music quick and the music was dirty.
The prolific Knightforce label was responsible for some of the biggest anthems in dance music and the history of it’s manager Luna-C reads like a rags-to-riches (which he never saw) – to rags tale of music industry rape and buggery.
This guy SHOULD be fucking minted for all the hard work he’s put in, alas the cut throat music world grabbed him by the nostrils and royally shafted him in the hardcore bung-hole. His label biography is an amazing trip through the 90′s scene of Akai samplers, hedonistic raves and 9 inch wide skateboards.
Resurfacing from the rave this track achieves everything it set out to do. Rolling Breaks, cheeky samples,rave stabs, the obligatory piano breakdown. It’s all there. And without being too misty eyed and reminiscent it still captures the energy of the 90′s rave movement and presents itself to a whole new audience.
