Elektronauts – Bumper (Plump DJ’s remix) 1
Currently I’m hanging my head in shame and flagellating myself with XLR cables as I have made an awful error. I posted up a mix care of the Plump DJ’s just earlier this week and I must confess I only scrubbed through briefly and what I heard I thought was pretty cool.
Having just given the recording a proper listen I am horrified at my colossal lapse in judgement and taste.That Plump DJ’s mix is, lets face it , a bit fucking gash. It’s about as fresh and exciting as dose of the galloping cock-rot and if I led you to believe anything otherwise I apologise profusely.
It does redeem itself with their own rather awesome production of Light Fantastic but on the whole it’s a bunch of generic, laser-bass noodling arse flaps. Thankfully this is more of a reflection on the current state of dance music than their own tunes. And also a barometer on how wreckless blog posts can ruin my otherwise magnificent musical erection.
I remain a solid supporter of the Plumps whom I have loyally followed since the serendiptious moment of stumbling across their remix of Bumper from 2000 ish. I fully appreciate this long time ago and that music has moved on, but so have fucking the Black Eyed Peas.
Pehaps they’ve been taking career advice from Will.I.Am. What next I wonder?
Maybe expect A DJ mix featuring a caterwauling bint and a gaggle of cunts in shit jewellery shouting “Mazel tov!”

Their entire craft in this over-joyed remix reminds me of their classic Original mix of “The Push.”
