Lordy Fuck you need to have a go on this.
Jay Cunning administers the world a bloody good hiding with this tearing, superbly executed mix.
This one hour psuedo-studio construction swaggers and snarls it’s way through the underbelly of rolling, warehouse breaks and dubstep. Superbly punctuated with ragga vocal licks and samples it builds, flows and blends brilliantly highlighting the mutating genres of breaks and dubstep.
Apologies if I’m gushing a bit here, it’s not like I’m furiously tugging at my cock while raving around the house but this Subslayers mix has really lit a fire under my arse. The tracklisting does an excellent job of placing the tunes into a proper context and for me makes this Subslayers 3 mix really exciting and it would kick the bollocks clean off a party.
This mix is what I consider to be a lesson in the virtues of DJing that has largely bypassed the laptop DJ generation – total confidence, sheer enjoyment and above all else – mastery of the craft.
Have it Mister Cunning, I salute you.
