Talenthouse is thrilled to announce one of our most exciting Creative Invites yet. Not only is this a great break for designers to get their cover art out there, it goes to benefit a fantastic cause!
Florence + The Machine, The Cure, DJ Shadow, Bombay Bicycle Club, Ben Howard, CSS, and Noah and the Whale have all selected a track for you to artistically interpret on a 7″ vinyl sleeve.
Each band will select 45 designs to be printed on a Secret 7″ vinyl sleeve which will be sold and exhibited in a gallery in East London in the week leading up to the Record Store Day on April 21st, 2012. The five highest-voted designs will also be produced and sold. On the final day of the exhibit, one copy of each vinyl will be sold with proceeds going to Teenage Cancer Trust. Since the vinyls will be secret and the buyers won’t know which song they are purchasing, it’s up to you to create an appealing representation of the song you design for.
Each winner will receive a copy of their 7″ vinyl signed by the artist and recognition on a website dedicated to the winning designs. The five highest-voted artists will get the same incentives.
Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity that strives to meet the needs of cancer-stricken teenagers and young adults by providing NHS hospitals with specialist teenage units. Their goal is to ensure that every teenager receives the best care and support throughout the entirety of their experience with cancer.
